[letter from mother to grandmother]

Then day before yesterday the old jeep broke down.  Bill doesn’t even have any idea what’s wrong with it and can’t tear it apart to see until the week-end.  So, I’ve been forced to stay home and he takes kids out with him to that place you saw.
