The most important work we can do, individually and globally, is the healing and prevention of traumas so that we don't pass them down to future generations. This blog is a working tool to contribute to this good work.

1960 April 3 - Linda and John helping Sharon in the snow, patient father on tractor, making our way up our mountain road1960 April 3 - A little closer in on this precious photograph. I hope someday I can have some of these professionally repaired from their fire damage. I have Sharon my one arm, John has her by the other. No matter what the horrors were of my childhood, there were incredibly powerful positive experiences also. This photograph captures one of them -- Even if we could somehow be given a magical choice to do so, how would anyone ever trade away the bad of their childhood if it meant also losing everything of value, too? I would not make that trade. I would not choose to lose even a single moment of body memory of an experience like this one.
